The Light Loft – Terms & Conditions

Thank you for choosing The Light Loft. By booking and using our studio, you (“client,” “you,” “your”) agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before making a reservation.

1. General Terms

The Light Loft (“we,” “us,” “our”) provides a rental space for photography, videography, content creation, and related professional activities; located at Suit 1, 114 Pyrmont Bridge Rd, Annandale NSW 2038. By booking a session, you acknowledge and accept these Terms & Conditions.

2. Bookings & Payments

Booking Process: All bookings must be made through our website or by direct communication with our team.

Payment: Full payment is required at the time of booking. Bookings are not confirmed until payment is received.

3. Cancellations & Rescheduling

Cancellations:

More than 5 business days before booking: Full studio credit (valid for 30 days).

2–5 business days before booking: 25–50% studio fee applies.

Within 24 hours: 100% of the hire fee applies, no refund or credit.

Rescheduling: Bookings may be rescheduled once, subject to availability. Requests must be made at least 48 hours before the session.

Refunds: No cash refunds. Studio credit only.

4. Studio Usage

Permitted Use: The studio may only be used for lawful, safe, and agreed-upon activities. Illegal, dangerous, or disruptive activities are strictly prohibited.

Furniture & Props: All items may be rearranged but must be returned to their original position before the end of your booking.

5. Cleanliness & Damage

Cleanliness: The studio must be left in the same condition as it was found.

Cleaning Fee: Excess cleaning, rubbish removal, or rearranging will incur a $150 + GST fee.

Damage: Clients are liable for any damage and must report incidents immediately. Costs for repair/replacement will be charged.

Security Cameras: The studio is monitored for safety and damage verification.

6. Time & Overtime

Booking Hours: Your booking includes bump-in and bump-out.

Overtime: Time beyond your booking will be charged at $100 + GST per hour.

7. Client Responsibilities

Conduct: Professional and respectful conduct is required. No smoking, vaping, or smoke machines.

Children & Pets: Allowed only with prior approval and at your own risk.

Insurance: Clients are responsible for their own insurance. The Light Loft is not liable for loss, theft, or damage of personal items.

Noise: Please keep music and noise at reasonable levels.

8. Liability & Indemnity

Limitation of Liability: The Light Loft is not liable for injury, accidents, or loss of property, except in cases of negligence on our part.

Indemnification: Clients agree to indemnify The Light Loft from claims, damages, or losses arising from their session.

Fire Safety: Any fire alarm activations or call-out fees will be charged to the client.

9. Privacy & Data Protection

Personal Information: Collected only for bookings and communication; never shared without consent.

Marketing Use: Unless otherwise stated in writing, you consent to The Light Loft using behind-the-scenes images or footage for promotional purposes.

10. Force Majeure

We are not responsible for cancellations or interruptions due to events beyond our control (e.g., natural disasters, power outages, emergencies). In such cases, you may reschedule or receive studio credit.

11. Changes to Terms

The Light Loft reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Updates take effect immediately upon posting on our website.

12. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and any disputes shall be resolved within this jurisdiction.
